I mostly settled my budget for this and next month, pending the cashing in of the cheques and the crediting of funds into my accounts. That is a relief to say the least. Starting to pick up pace in my studying too, so hopefully the weekend will see more progress. I intend to finish up my philosophy homework and revise some psychology and digital design.

Probably having a poker game over at my house on saturday night, might be my last session for the coming two to three weeks as most of the players will be enlisting to the army after this. But I might just decide to join up a new group of player with higher stakes if my bankroll cashes in on time, or start grinding online on stars.

I had a very weird dream last night when I was taking a nap after coming home from school. In the dream, my time alive was limited as I was parasiting in somebody’s body, and would soon lose my life once the spell breaks. However, I was still idling my life away, and towards the end of the dream I finally realized how stupid that was, and when I woke up, I decided that I should stop trashing my life away. Reading, writing, learning and doing things I love should be top priority in my life.

Still behind on schedule, but these two days has seen a spike in my income, about $100 more in my pocket. Just waiting for the invoices to be approved and the cheques to be issued. School wise, been feeling sick still, so there is nothing much I can do for now. Trying to organize a poker game for the weekend to unwind.

I have a lot of things I need to settle, and I am also lagging behind badly on my academics despite it  being the 3rd week of the new semester, so much for the new year new beginnings eh? Top it off with a whopping cough that refuses to go away.

But no matter what, I am going to settle my budget tomorrow to take my mind off money matters for now. I probably have more than I think I did, especially with the red packets coming in the past two days. I also need to make a list of things to study, as well as map out a proper studying schedule to catch up and keep myself on time in spite of the grueling lifestyle I have decided to mold for myself.

I tried to think of a title before I started writing this post, but after several minutes of staring at the title field blankly, I gave up. I guess I am the type of person that cannot first decide on the topic I am writing on prior to writing, I am too spontaneous for that. There are 8 more minutes until this year ends (and probably by the time I am done with this post the 8 minutes would have long gone by), and the Dragon year is about to usher itself in.

Unfortunately, I have never been a fan of CNY celebrations, and almost always find it a waste of time. The relatives that you would like to meet, you probably are already meeting them on a regular enough basis. Those that you don’t,  you will find all ways to avoid and escape from them, even during CNY.

(I was going to go on a rant about it, but decided that the act of ranting about it is in fact more redundant).

So, a very happy chinese new year to you people. I am off to dreamland for now.
